Accurate measurements are key to ensuring your blinds fit perfectly. Follow the instructions below for Inside Recess and Exact Size measurements, depending on your preferred fitting style.

Inside Recess Measurement

Inside recess fitting refers to blinds that hang inside the window recess, providing a clean and streamlined look. Here’s how to measure:

1. Measure the Width:

   • Use a tape measure to measure the width of the window recess from wall to wall.
   • Take measurements at three points: top, middle, and bottom of the recess.
   • Record the smallest measurement as the width.

2. Measure the Drop:

   • Measure from the top of the recess to the window sill.
   • Take measurements at three points: left, center, and right.
   • Record the smallest measurement as the drop.

Important: When you select "Inside Recess" during your order, we will deduct a small amount from your width measurement to ensure the blind fits comfortably inside the recess.

Exact Size Measurement (Actual Blind Size)

Exact size, also known as Actual Blind Size, is for blinds that hang outside the window recess, covering the entire window area. Here’s how to measure:

1. Measure the Width:

   • Determine the exact area you want the blind to cover, including overlap on both sides of the window for full coverage.
   • Measure from edge to edge in centimeters to the nearest 0.1 cm.

2. Measure the Drop:

   • Measure from the top edge of where you want the blind to start to the bottom edge where it should finish.
   • Again, measure to the nearest 0.1 cm.

Important: If you want the blind to be made to the exact size, select the "Actual Size" option on the order form. No adjustments will be made to your measurements, so they will match the finished size of the blind.

Tips for Accurate Measuring

• Use a metal tape measure for precision.
• Double-check all measurements to avoid errors.
• Ensure all measurements are recorded in centimeters to the nearest 0.1 cm.
